Weaning

My LO is 6 1/2 months and was born 6 weeks early. We were advised to wean at 6 months as normal but she’s really not taking to it well. Did anyone else with prem babies notice it took a bit longer for your babies to starting eating and enjoying foods?

We were told to wean between 5-8 months actual, my daughter was born at 34 weeks so 6 weeks early. We started weaning at 5.5 months actual and she took to it straight away

My son was born at 34+4. He has had a hard time with oral motor development so we just started feeding therapy and anticipate he will require speech therapy. He loved his purées though so he just ate them much longer than most kids.

My son was born at 30weeks and we were told to wean from 6months corrected. He took to it a while but admittedly we did traditional weaning as opposed to baby led x

We started at 6 months (4.5 corrected). He loved it from the beginning, but it really tires him out. So we are going slower now, and will wait until around 8 months or later to introduce a 3rd meal. Combi feeding still plus solids seems to take up a bit chunk of the day!
