Eczema strugglesšŸ˜

Hi everyone! Just wanted some advice for my 3 yr old boy that has eczema! Heā€™s getting really bad flare ups and is in so much pain from the itching and scratching! I donā€™t want to use steroid creams on him and Iā€™m currently using aveeno which used to help but now I feel like itā€™s not helping anymore as his flare ups have worsened! šŸ˜ any advice on what I can do to help him or any recommendations would be greatly appreciatedšŸ«¶šŸ¼

There was another thread on this yesterday. It seems like aveeno doesnā€™t work for 50% of the moms. FYI - Aveeno cannot guarantee the products are gluten free which is fine for the majority of people but is still an allergen. I prefer ā€œpharmacyā€ standard products like Bioderma and Mustella.

I suggest the aveeno eczema bath soak itā€™s the only aveeno product that seems to really work and lots of Cerave every night! Also, Tubby Todd is apparently like a miracle cream for eczema.

Thereā€™s a cream I used on my girls called Abido all natural and very effective. If youā€™re interested msg me. Otherwise try coconut oil and lots of it. This worked for my son and had it gone within weeks.

It all starts with healing the gut! Removing dairy/soy/processed foods or any high gluten for several months at least. Add in a probiotic drop! Eliminate any toxic products. Organic Coconut oil + a few drops in the container of tea tree or vitamin E oil heals the skin when there is a flare up naturally. For products aim for beef tallow, Pipette, Babo Botanicals any truly clean brand. No petroleum, if you want something like Vaseline use Beesoline. Vaseline is toxic. Molly suds laundry detergent or simply Castille Soap. Regular oat baths and Dead Sea salt baths I did this with my daughter and she rarely has Eczema issues anymore after trying ALL of the things and the countless pointless visits to dermatologists who just want to throw a steroid cream at you lol.

Iā€™m in the same boat with my son too, I would advise getting prescribed something from your GP because they give you loads of it and you donā€™t have to keep buying! The latest cream we had stopped working, my son had tonsillitis and a viral rash and his eczema was awful with it (all over his face šŸ˜³)The GP said itā€™s really trial and error with emoillent creams as everyoneā€™s skin is different šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Currently heā€™s using one with an antibacterial property in it and Iā€™ve noticed a difference in 2 days! They advise you slather the cream on as often as possible!

Thank you girls šŸ«¶šŸ¼
