Multivitamin and DHA reccos

So i was using pregnacare max before , but the midwife prescribed me a higher dose folic acid , so i am finding it very hard to find any other pregnancy safe multivitamin and DHA combi that is without the folic acid. Suggest some OTC reccos.

You can take the higher folic acid dose alongside pregnacare

No they refused to add any more folic acid - as its pretty higher(5mg) than the normal.

I just take a multivitamin and vitamin D alongside my higher dose of folic acid. They don’t need to be for pregnancy x

Hey, I take the my vitamins omega 3 which is the same thing as DHA and I have a friend who reccomended with 'vita west DHA' which I think I'll get when mine run out, not 100000% sure they don't contain folic acid though but worth looking into xx

I just take vit D, Omega 3 and Folic acid separately x

The general advice given out at all of the trusts I’ve worked at is to continue multi vits alongside folic acid. The amount in pregnacare is pretty low so safe to take alongside (I personally took both in my last and current pregnancy as I know many colleagues have) If your concerned about the levels you could just add in vitamin D for now and then at 12 weeks revert back to pregnacare

I take both 5mg folic acid and pregnacare max. My GP said it was fine to take both. I also work in a GP surgery (not the same one I'm a patient at). I checked with GPs I work with, they all confirmed its absolutely fine. I also checked with my midwife, she agreed too.

@Sophia do you any suggestion on a brand?

I take these all separately: I was also recommended a higher doze of folic acid and vit D. I also take omega 3 DHA capsules (Bare biology's Mums and Bumps).
