Expressed breast milk

Can you mix expressed breast milk from different dates together? If they have both been refrigerated at the same temperature. For example I got 50ml from the 13th & 90ml from the 19th can I mix these milks?

Yes, milk from different dates can be mixed together. However, milk should only be stored in the fridge for 4 days maximum, less if it is stored in the fridge door. I would recommend using the milk from the 13th for bath / cleaning baby instead ☺️

5,5,5 rule applies (5 hours room temperature, 5 days in the fridge, 5 months frozen) but yes you can mix from different dates together. I wouldn't use from 13th if you will be mixing tomorrows milk, today would be the last day. Ok thank you both! XX

Yes they can be mixed 😊 also can see you're UK based - the NHS also state it can be in the fridge for up to 8 days so still usable! https://www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/feeding-your-baby/breastfeeding/expressing-your-breast-milk/storing-breast-milk/

You can also freeze and defrost and mix different dates of milk - save you having to throw milk away because that breaks my heart
