Low lying placenta and breach

I just had my 20 week scan today and found out part of my placenta is covering my cervix so I have another scan booked to see if it moves out of the way. I know most of the time they do move but uk so worried it won't and I'll need a c section. I had a vaginal birth with my first. Baby is also breech, do most babies turn head down if baby is breach at 20 weeks?

i’ve heard of multiple instances where the placenta does move, but i know it’s very hard to assume the best possible outcomes 🥺❤️ i hope it does move for you! your baby still has PLENTY of time to go head down so try not to worry much, some babies don’t engage into the pelvis ready for birth until the very last minute! my second baby wasn’t found head down until week 36!

Hey girl, if you do some research on posterior placentas 9/10 women’s placenta moves to the ‘normal’ position.. remember your still so early got a whole twenty weeks to go. They might just monitor you abit more now which is nice cause you’ll see baby more. Most babies will almost always turn head down some don’t even with 10weeks to go and will do last min x

@𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 ♡ ah it just worries me so much! Really don't want a section 😭

@Emily thank you so much :) my placenta is also posterior and partially covering cervix so fingers crossed it will move :)

trust me i really do know how you feel, the thought of a c-section really scares me and im even more scared about what recovery would be like, as this is my third baby in a row, im going to be educating myself a lot more about c-sections and recovery tips etc to feel more at ease about it, maybe you could do this too and see if it makes you feel a bit better about it? ❤️

@𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 ♡ I just really want a vaginal birth as last time I had a bad experience so was hoping this time it would sort of heal how I felt about that! I just don't like how if it doesn't move it takes the option away from me. You're right though, that's a good idea to educate yourself about c sections and just prepare mentally for it anyway :) x

My daughter was breech the whole of my pregnancy and we was booked in for c sec at 39 weeks, we went in on that day and Dr scanned and said she had turned!! Went into labor naturally at 41 weeks 👏

@Emily omg that's amazing!

Hi, I had just my scan on Sunday. Also was told I have a low lying placenta. I had a natural with my first so after research I was worried about the c section! Although after speaking to a few people that have had the same issue there’s had moved out the way! So I hope this helps ease your mind a little. There’s still so much time for it to move up so fingers crossed for both of us x

@Lisa Shepherd I can't stop researching it! Mine is covering my cervix a bit but I've heard if it is just low lying the chances of it moving is better. Hopefully they move for us 🤞🤞
