Step Mom vs Mothers Day

my step kids celebrate mother day with their mom but yes i have a kid but even if i didn’t you do equal things like the mother so if you have every right to celebrate mother’s day especially if you love the kids as your own

Following cuz I’d like to know as well lol. I’ve been a step mom for over 6 years and I’ve never celebrated Mother’s Day before. My husband and my step sons don’t ever remember Mother’s Day and I’m always the one to remind them to make a card for their bio mom

before my son was born it was just my guy and my step kids i expressed that i wanted to be equally celebrated because i work hard to tend to him and the kids and if it’s weird than i want to spend the day to myself and treat myself. Regardless being a step mom isn’t easy it has its rough days. you deserve the appreciation

I don't think so, personally. If your step kids choose to celebrate it with you, then that is lovely, but I would never expect anything from my step kids.

In the past few years my SS has been asked by my partner if he wanted to get me anything for Mother’s Day and he’s chosen to, even done a card at school when they did them and then celebrates Mother’s Day with his mum and I always make sure he mentions happy mothers day to her and then we celebrate with our son
