Hopefully I don't get condemned as a mother, but I got rid of my son's ages ago by dipping it in apple cider vinegar. He never asked for it again. Just prepare yourself for some rocky nights when it comes to them settling if they use it to sleep x

My little girl does, she loves it so much for sleeping I just can't bring myself to take it away 🤣 On the British Orthodontic website it does say as long s you get rid of it before age 7 then it doesn't affect their teeth....so I figure she can have it a few more years and will hopefully just give it up on her own 🤣

My boy still does! X

We took the dummy away just after 2. Years . He only used it at night and we swapped it for a teddy bear.we had a rough few weeks but I’m so glad it’s done now x

I took mine away last weekend, we went to build a bear and put one inside 2 bears and told her she was a big girl now. She’s asked for it once since and still slept through every night! We were expecting a rough time but she’s barely noticed x

My little girl still has hers too (just for naps and bedtime). Our plan is to get rid of them when the time feels right but by the end of this year… We were going to do it more recently but we’ve just potty trained her so didn’t want to change too much too soon x

We got rid of it at Easter, the Easter bunny took it and gave it to the babies, we had about 5 days of her asking for it at bedtime and waking up really early but she is absolutely fine now xx

My son still has his but he takes it out for talking and longer now during the day but he has it at nighttime to settle and sleep but we will try and get rid before the end of the year he is starting nursery this week and think he is going to need it while he gets used to nursery and he has to have glasses as well and it’s a lot of new things happening

My little girl has one but only for sleep, not too bothered about it as it works and dentist said her teeth are fine. I’ll think about it next year, maybe 😏😂

Everyone pray for me!!!! Went to bed with no dummy quite easy but who knows if he will wake looking for it?? 🙏

@Dawn my son went to nursery with his dummy and when I went to pick him up his key worker said it’s been in his bag for most of the afternoon and he hasn’t asked for it either which is a massive surprise cause it’s normally attached to him but he did a few hours the other day without it as well but he has it now but he is absolutely sparko after nursery

My son only looks for it with me in his bed really. I have been quilty of giving him it for a little 5 mins piece when he’s grumping or hangry but that’s my bad habit not his…. His key worker said he doesn’t look for it during his nap as long as someone lies with him for 5 mins and his gran said she forgot the twice to give him it for nap and he went no bother so I thought try tonight and bam he’s fell over xx
