Getting induced on Saturday advice and positive stories please

So I’m 39 weeks and am 3 and a half cm dialated and little man is really low, I have been in early labour for a week now so I decided that if he’s not here by Saturday I’m getting induced, though I’m scared so I need some positive induction stories and advice as this is my first baby and I’m nervous

Following bc I’ll be 39 weeks Sunday and getting induced. Terrified about the entire procedure 🥲

Same 39 weeks getting induced Tuesday

@Zolany damn we all be getting induced 😭

I was induced with my baby at around 38 weeks and 4 days and I had a pretty good experience! I had 2 doses of the gel inserted and after I was about 2cm dilated they broke my waters Contractions started - slow at first and then really built up. I then had the epidural about 7 hours after labouring pain free Epidural was amazing cause I slept through all my contractions but only thing is that my contractions were quite irregular and I was dilating slowly so they gave me a peanut ball and turned me on the side a few times. When I was finally fully dilated I was ready to push and I think my epidural wore off while I was pushing cause I felt every bit of pain possible so that was a bit horrid but other than that my birth experience was great :)

@Janelle I see that 🤣😭 my baby is being stubborn and I just can’t wait any longer!

I was induced in Ireland at 39weeks, trying 2 methods. First was a tampon that must stay in for 24 hours (didn’t work), then they did a gel which did work for me. It was my first baby and it all went smoothly. Within 4 hours of getting the gel I was getting contractions. Honestly, the whole process was fine for me, but this is in Ireland I was scared about being induced because of Google but I had no choice due to preeclampsia, but all went perfect :)

Getting induced as well on Monday night! All our babies are stubborn

Crazily, what helped me the most… a hot water bottle on my bag !!! With loads of bag massages!! I’ve made sure my partner rubs my back in a tempo i could concentrate on breathing. Ended up having a water birth and was the best decision ever! Was super easy to change positions without lifting all your weight around.

@Zolany same last week I was 2 cm and have been feeling contractions since😂

@Janelle 1 cm! on and off contractions for two weeks!

Make sure to rest as much as possible, don’t stress urself and try to go with the flow as you need all your energy and power for the pushing. Giving birth is all about you !! make sure to communicate with everyone around you to make yourself as comfortable as possible.

@Zolany today I was 3 and a half almost four and she said she could induce me today and I was like I want him out but no way can I do this without preparing 😂

Personally don’t get induced it was the worst ever for me I wished I waited for my baby to come naturally trust me please just wait a couple More days because times flies and you will miss being pregnant and it hurts way more if you get induced and god forbid complication and tearing mama I would wait

I was induced and honestly, my birth was really easy. Four pushes and he was out sending positive vibes for the same for you.🩷

I’m getting induced next Wednesday 39weeks too 😬
