Watch Bridget Teyler on YouTube! Biggest and most helpful thing that you can do is learning to breathe the correct way. It helps your body relax and progress labor

Although the birth itself was just not it and scary the staff were amazing! Made this journey of healing much better and we’re so motivating to my recovery

This was my second birth. My water broke at like 6:30am, and I went in not knowing that I broke, but my belly felt and looked different. Well, I got tested, and yup, my water broke. I sent my husband home to get all of our things and even let people know what was happening. I wasn't having any contractions, so I was given pitocin to start contractions. While I was waiting for things to happen, I was on the toilet a lot, bouncing on the ball, and had a nice conversation with the ladies in L&D since I was the only one there, lol. Once contractions started kicking up several notches, I called my husband to come back. When he came back, he helped me with the epidural, and I got Benadryl to help with the itching, and both of us got to sleep for a few hours. I asked my nurse, "If nothing is wrong, can I get a few hours to sleep?" She gave me 2 hours. When she came in, I told her, "Though I have the epidural on, my body is telling me to push." At like 6am, my OB came in the room and checked me. Yup, I was ready.

A different nurse was charting, and everyone was ready for me to push. I had to lean over and ask the nurse, "Can I borrow you for like 2 minutes?" She was like, oh yeah. And grabbed my other leg. I pushed for less than 2 minutes and pushed twice, and he was out. I kindly said to the nurse, "Okay, all done, you may continue." She laughed and smiled at me. Well, we all laughed, lol.

I heard some on the Mommy Labor Nurse podcast.
