Anyone have tips on prolonging sleep at night ?

Baby is 7 weeks. I know it’s early but I was so excited she slept 3 and 4 hours a couple of times. But now she’s back to waking every hour or 2 in. The night. Tired and want my energy back.

It’s super tough the new born phase, unfortunately its normal and there’s not really much that can be done. They will keep going through phases and it will go up and down. It will get better xx

Feel this. Mine is also 7 weeks and same exact thing, was sleeping 3 or 4 hours a couple nights and now back to the constant wake ups. I'm exhausted. I also have a toddler and by this point she was regularly sleeping 4-6 hours then only waking like 1-2 more times after that first wake up.

my baby just turned two months. she would wake constantly and cry and just be so colic. turns out i wasnt producing enough so she woke up so often because she wasnt getting enough to eat. i switched to formula and she sleeps throughout the night (10pm-9am) or (1am-11pm)

Childs Farm SlumberTime™ Sleep Mist Lavender & Moon Milk And the massage oil after a bath really helped my little one from eight weeks with this he only works once in the night

@jennica jaylene I thought this about my baby too. Especially the last feed or two because in the evening specifically I don’t produce a lot of but she’s gaining weight at record rates. I have been trying to give her formula before bed to top her up but she refuses the bottle. She will take it no problem in the morning from dad or my mom if I’m not home and she’s baby sitting. We tried to have him give her the bottle too last night and the night before. We even tried a bottle of pumped breast milk. Nothing. I’m thinking she’s not hungry right before bed but soothing.

What’s your routine?? I changed from 10pm to 8pm and it’s helped loads. Or if early change to later usually gives you a good 4-5 hours x

That’s common for 7 weeks. There’s no way to prolong sleep at that age because they’re waking for reasons (hungry, diaper, cold, need attention) and not just because. Theyre too young to connect sleep cycles. It’s so hard I know but you just have to push through it.
