Go straight to underwear and commit. Also a toilet seat attachment with a step rather than a nappy was really helpful for us as our daughter just wants to do whatever we do.

@Lisa what do you do about nighttime? Our nursery has recommend going cold turkey but then I worry about night

@charlotte night time dryness is completely developmental. Most children are not dry at night for a while after being dry in the day. So stick with nappies at night at first.

No nappies during the day, only underwear. What helped for me is taking him to the toilet every 5, 10 minutes, even if he does nothing thats ok at least he will get used to sitting on the toilet. Expect accidents and when they happen just say it's OK and explain where the wee wee and poopy goes. At night let him wear nappys. It's a long process but they'll get there in the end. I started introducing the concept of the toilet to my son when he was 2 but he wasn't fully potty trained until he was 4. Remember every child learns at their own pace. I remember getting very stressed because most kids in my son's school where potty trained and I felt like he was behind.

Thank you so much really appreciate these tips and advice given xx
