Fell asleep in bed with baby on me

I fell asleep and so did baby. On my chest. Around 5 and my husband woke us at 7:20. Omg I feel so bad. The only thing that keeps me positive about it is that I’m the lightest sleeper and felt her breathing on my chest the whole time and she didn’t move. I was fully upright with stuff pillows positioned under my own arms so they wouldn’t fall. But still. I’ve never done this. We also don’t typically co sleep unless it’s this early morning couple of hours. And I’d have felt much better had we done a c curl this morning than the chest sleeping. I feel horrible.

Have a look at @happycosleeper on instagram, she has some info about chest sleeping. Don’t feel bad, just have a read so it can be done safely in case it happens again! X

I had to do chest sleeping when healing from my c section. O was told to prop my arms up on pillows

I chest sleep with my baby every night, it’s the only way he likes to sleep x

I was about to suggest what @Megan suggested. Definitely look at @happycosleeper.

With my first I slept with him on my chest all the time because he slept better that way. I plan to do the same with the one I have on the way now. Don’t worry mama you got this don’t feel bad I’m sure baby girl felt extremely safe and loved 🩵🩵🩵 Also he’s now 4 and still wants to sleep on my chest or be cuddled up

This is how we Coslept. Even at two he likes to snuggle on my chest to fall asleep. Only downside is he’s getting too big 😢

@Lexi thank you so much for this. We did exactly this actually and I didn’t even know. I’m alone with her in a king bed. Very firm mattress so I feel ok I guess
