My children are both mix race and we use factor 50 and always have

I try to use the most natural, nontoxic brand I can have since there are so many additives…Whole Foods might be a great start to seeking out children’s nontoxic brands.

My baby is mixed race and I plan to use the highest factor sun screen for her.

I'm mixed - our LO is mixed. I've always used sunscreen, and our baby always has some on, even if it's not summer. Right now, LO is using Boogie Block and Eucerin.

Lots of professionals say not to use before 6 months and to keep baby out of the sun but after 6 months i just use any kids sun cream from boots or Superdrug. Depends what’s on offer and it’s UVA and UVB rating x

Also, a little exposure to sun without sunscreen is good too; like 20 minutes…so the body can build internal stores of Vitamin D.

Yeah definitely still need it, I’ve used a few different ones including nivea and soltan factor 50 kids. I found they blended in well too and not given that greyish tinge. But there are also creams designed specifically for darker skin too. Please start using it yourself too! You might not burn but can still get damage & need protection. (Bonus - good for your kid to see mummy using it too especially if they’re not a fan!)

In terms of vitamin D, the NHS advises giving babies/ children vitamin D drops: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/weaning-and-feeding/vitamins-for-children/

I have 3 mixed Indian, black and white children who are pale and I put on non toxic factor 50 on as I have researched the normal store bought ones. Its called amazing mineral butter xx
