When to take toddler into dentist?

My daughter is 18 months almost 19 months. My daughter’s doctor never gave us an answer the other day when I took her in. Her teeth are in good condition. I just want to know when is a good time too. All of her teeth I believe have came in. She hates going in the doctor’s office as is. If there’s any tips on getting her to stay calm let me know. It would be helpful. I tried giving her favorite baby and did not work. I held her which she was fine but just didn’t like the doctor getting near her. When did you take your toddler in the dentist?

My sons 18 months and I’m currently looking for a dentist to take him to but some done take kids younger then 2 but from what I was told by my sons doctor is as long as they have teeth they are ready to go to a dentist

My doctor said to take him when we had about 1/2 his teeth. I need to get on that 🤦 so that was like around a year I think. He said find a pediatric dental office, they are more experienced and patient with babes.

I took my daughter in right before she turned 15 months and will be again in July six months after her prior visit. I saw it was a question on her 15 month form and wanted to make sure I could say yes she’d been 😅

I took both my kids right when they turned 1 years old. It was hard at first for my son but now he does great. He will let the dentist check his teeth and brush them. He is 3 years old. My daughter has only had one dentist appointment so far and she fought through the whole thing. Her next appointment is in May; I’m hoping she does better with time. She’s 18 months. Their pediatrician recommended they start seeing a dentist at 1 years old.

I took my daughter when she was 16 months

Same here momma. My son is almost 18 months old, and I'm still looking for a pediatric dentist and what insurance I have that'll cover the dental costs

I took my son at 10 months. But he practically had all of his teeth. He now goes every 6 months. Pediatric dentists do very well with kids. My sons hates it, but they are able to do what they need to do quickly.

My son had his first appointment at 6 months he's now been twice and will go again for a checkup in august

Someone might hate on me for this but honestly I'm not taking my son to the dentist until i see a reason to! He has not got all his back molars yet but i brush his teeth everynight! My mom said (and my mom has had 4 kids including me so i ask her everything lol) but she said to wait until they're like 3 so they can understand kinda what's going on more and not have to be held or strapped down just brush they're teeth every night and morning or just night just to keep cavity's away! My sister did this and my nephew didn't go until he was 4 and he only had one cavity and that's most likely because he would sneak chocolate at night lol
