Anxiety

Does anyone else have really bad anxiety? Mine hits hardest at night as I’m trying to sleep. I feel like I’ll have a heart attack or drown. Any ideas on how to help?

I have bad perinatal anxiety and what's helped me is just making sure I'm doing self care. Talking to other moms helps so much, so I can prepare for the birth and feel like I know all avenues that my baby girl can go down. Preparing is an easy way to help with anxiety and just make sure to get out there and take walks too. If you have a partner or friends and family I recommend talking to them it helps enormously. And also talk to a psychiatrist and therapist. I'm now on zoloft after my hormones made me go crazy and it's been helping pretty well I think

i had really bad postpartum anxiety with my first and similarly would have the hardest time at night… definitely felt that “dread” or “impending doom” feeling… honestly the only 2 things that would help ground me were having my husband hold me & sending a text to my mom to tell her exactly what i was feeling/experiencing. she would tell me i wasn’t crazy and give me lots of reassurance. try to keep a light on too if it helps. you’re not alone. talk to your primary doctor or OB/GYN if you’re recently postpartum! they may recommend further help or medication!

Breathing! They always say that. The only thing that made me feel calm when I would have panic attacks in the middle of sleeping was sitting up and telling myself where I was and breathing. That me and my baby was fine ( while pregnant). All the good things you can think of etc x

I’ve had this before several times. I’d a scary feeling.😣
