Recent Pinderfields birth experiences

I’m due to give birth at Pinderfields soon and would love to know your experiences. If it’s not a great experience I don’t want the details just any advice for me to prepare myself. Xx

I had an elective c section there and have nothing but amazing things to say about pinderfields, right from the day unit staff to theatre and after care! So much more positive than my birth at the LGi which was horrific xxx

I was admitted, induced and then had an emergency c section and was in for a week with health complications for myself and my baby, all well now! They were great, very attentive and helpful. I saw lots of shift changes and staff and can say there were maybe two midwives who weren’t particularly pleasant, the majority were very helpful and attentive. I negotiated my discharge date and they all worked as quick as they could to get me and baby home safe. Xx

Although I haven’t given birth yet, due to my increased anxiety I have met and am working with some of the midwifery team at pinderfields. I was so against being anywhere near a hospital and I admitted I didn’t trust any of them to them, yet they’ve worked so hard with me to help me get over these fears. They are the most lovely, caring and compassionate people ive ever, ever met. It’s clear to see they just want to give the best care to their patients, their birth partners and babies. They’ve really helped changed my mindset and I feel in completely safe hands. X

Have a look at my maternity page and birth stats. C section rate at pindeffields last month was over 50% , there seems to be an extraordinary amount of extra intervention during birth. Saying that I've only birthd one of my three there , it was an induction, and apart from after shift change one student midwife refusing to believe I was literally ready to push and needing to go to labour ward, it was really smooth sailing and the rest of the staff were lovely

I was induced and had an emergency c section at pinders and the midwives were incredible, I have raging health anxiety and every single person i was in contact with was super careful not to spook me and they were incredibly comforting and supportive! If you happen to have a ward co-ordinator called Amy, she’s the best midwife in the world 🤣🫶🏻

@Talia ohhhhh I think that could be my friend amy! She’s an amazing midwife 🥹🫶🏼
