I keep an eye on my heart rate through our and I do adapt. Pre pregnancy I would challenge myself with a heart rate up to 180 during class, but now I keep it around 150 and if I see it creeps up, I slow down. And I check in with myself and make sure that I can sing along to the music.
Thank you!
Hi Charlie, if you’re interested in some pregnancy specific workouts but don’t have a local PT you could take some online sessions. The pregnancy vibe class is cardio based so you’ll still get your spinning high but the trainer works with you via zoom to make sure you’re within your range and adapting the workout for you. https://busylizzy.co.uk/online-club/pregnancy-programme/
I’m not a medical expert but I do run a pregnancy fitness business so have a good knowledge. I don’t think reduced movement is a good sign. Is your spin instructor pregnancy qualified? You should be doing lower impact classes and always be able to talk throughout the session ie, not too out of breath. Could spin be pushing you a bit much?
