Toddler bed

I want to transition my 2 year old into a toddler bed(his crib turns into one), but I guess I'm scared lol I guess I'm scared of the sleepless nights again 😅 I know it will only be for a few nights but did any of yall feel scared of having sleepless nights? I know it's silly but.. yeah! Also, he is a huge escape artist and it's only a matter of time before he learns to climb over the baby gate. He's my dare devil child, its alwtad second child that drives you insane 🤣 any advice would be great.. thank you ❤️

I haven’t done it yet I was told not to rush into it until she can start climbing out of it

No advice, but we just bought my 2 year old her toddler bed, so I will be in the same boat soon. I am also worried about how nights and naps will go.

Well, he started trying to climb out which why I'm in a rush to do it lol je started putting his over the crib like he wasn't to climb out.

My son never slept in his crib. He fought it hard. We transitioned him at 16 months into a floor bed and to my surprise he started sleeping through the night no problem, no fight. He never slept throu the night before that. Just here to say they might surprise you!! They could love it!

Mine started climbing out of his crib a few months before he turned 2. Switched him to a toddler bed and never had any issues. He actually seemed to sleep better and really like being able to get in and out of his bed on his own

@Leah there are times when he wants to climb in, but he can't, and I can tell he gets frustrated. He may surprise me and just stay there and be okay. My husband doesn't think he will do good, but he always thinks negative lol

@Stephanie I have a feeling he may surprise me. I think it's just my anxiety honestly.

Just take everything out his room. Only have his dresser and bed. Anchor the dresser. No toys in the room. Have a night light. You could also try using the hatch sound machine. Green light for when it’s time to wake up and it’s ok to leave the bed. Red light means stay in bed.

@Haley 💚 he uses a hatch sound machine and loves it 😁 but we don't have the light up one, we have the mini.

@Jessica ohhhh I don’t use the colors yet bc we’re still using the crib. But my friends used it to train for a toddler bed and it worked for her

@Courtney he's on a routine, which he does really well on. And when we travel to my mom's for the weekend and stay the night, he sleeps in a play pen, but he has outgrown it. From now on, he will be sleeping on an air mattress over there so, its about time to start transitioning him.

My daughter didn’t sleep in her crib all night so we got her a big girl bed in February. So far so good but most nights she does get out around midnight and come to me. I take her back into her room and she falls back asleep quickly.
