Why are periods so strong?

I've always had heavy menstrual cycles in my teen years until my mom put me on birth control. After years later I had my son in my late 20 aka 28 and my periods are heavier than they used to be before I had him. And lasting sometimes 3-5 days. What do you ladies do when this happens? I need some home remedies. ....please comment below.

So I actually had normal periods after my daughter for the first time in my life🤣 but that's because I have Endo. I'd never had a week of light cramping or pre period cramping & 6-7 day period in my life. I got my period at 10. Anywho when my daughter was 22mo I needed to go on BC because it went to really bad like you described. I do this for 3 months then I'll stop taking the pill... I learned about it from IVF that I didn't pay for/ connected to my Endo. So it helps re balance my hormones. I've told this to others PP & it worked for them too so I hope it helps. It has a lot to do with just having a baby so talk to your Dr to see obviously first if that's a safe choice. Again I didn't continue to take it, it's nice I can just do it again if I need to & it works. My cycles are 2-4 days typically 3 & strong for one day then no pain lol

I haven't needed to go back on anything though which is super nice lol

Mine were completely normal and same time every month til I had my 2nd kid. My kids are 11 yrs apart. After my baby I bled from march-nov straight through heavy as fuck. I got the iud and haven’t bled since
