I have type 1 and gastroparesis too. Absolute pain in the backside! I find I'm spending most of my time eating and injecting for it so I don't spike 🤦🏼♀️ Cheese is always a good snack for me though! x
I always inject for my snacks, maybe if your sugar keeps spiking have a look at your basal or carb ratios for meals?
You should try fruit that is low carb like watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries topped with a low-carb whip cream. Delicious and less carbs to kill the sweet tooth. It worked for me
I am trying to hard to control my sugars but I am craving alllll the carby things 😂 I was not in great control of my sugars before pregnancy however I have managed to stay in range 80% of the time. I’ve been having lots of fruits and veggies, homous, eggs. I find that I don’t really react to the ryvita crisp bread things so they’re good too. Also cold meats and cheese. Xx
