Bedtime routine

What’s your babes bedtime routine? As my daughter is getting older our routine needs to change and I just don’t know where to start 🤯

What does your current routine look like? We do a bed time snack, then bath (yes every night because he's a fish, only a couple times a week a full scrub down), try to do a lotion massage as much as he will allow and put on jammies, read a book or two and he still does rocking chair snuggles with a milk bottle (Currently trying to break this)

Bath every 2-3 nights (he has dry skin so we don't want to do baths too often). Schedule on a night with a bath: - Dinner 5:30-6ish - Let him run free with toys. - If tv is on, turn it off before bath or at minimum 30 minutes before bed (should be more but sometimes it's not that easy) - bath 7ish - lotion, jammies, and brush teeth - a book or two...or six - in bed between 7:30 and 8:30 depending on how much he plays in the bath or how many books he demands lol Our routine is sooo compared to a lot of people. The main thing for us is to do dinner about 1.5 - 2 hrs before bed, and having the TV off for a while before bed. The rest is negotiable lol

I work long days so things start a little later than I would like but it works for us. Dinner by 6:30. Upstairs to take a bath around 7. We go every other night with soap but like the nightly routine of the bath. She has a little baby doll made to go in the bath that she loves! Lotion, pajamas, 1 or 2 books and then she helps me turn on the sound machine and I get her in the crib. We are still doing a sleep sack to keep her cozy. She goes down normally within a few minutes hopefully by 7:30-7:45. The husband and I switch off every night and the other person cleans up after dinner.

We start with a bath if it's a bath day, then his nightly routine. Change into PJs, picking up his toys in living room and his room, brush teeth, he picks 2 books and we read them on the couch, then he tells one of us goodnight and the other takes him to bed to put him down. My husband and I take turns with putting him down because he's in a phase of us needing to sit in his room until he falls asleep 😑 we used to read books in his room but he wouldn't want one of us to leave so we have found it's better to do as much of his routine as possible outside of his room then bring him back in there just when it's time to go to sleep and that's helped a lot with him settling down

My daughters routine is basically the same as everyone else’s so I’ll take it. When do you do night time milk? Do you still do night time milk 😂 my daughter can’t go to sleep without it unless she is absolutely exhausted which doesn’t happen often

We haven't done nighttime milk for about 8 months, especially since brushing teeth is a hassle, and they shouldn't drink milk before bed without brushing teeth after

I sit her on her potty since we’ve been potty training Give her a shower/bath it depends Put leave in conditioner in Vaseline rub down Milk Brush teeth Try to read a book 😪😪 In bed at 8:30/9

Dinner at 6:30, bath, books, bed by 8. He still drinks milk while we’re reading books. We’ve tried doing milk with dinner but that didn’t work out for us lol 😂
