Sleep (or lack of...)

We're currently going through the 8/9m sleep regression and it's killing me. Question; baby wakes up at 3.35am, do you fight and battle for 2 hours to return to sleep... Or just get up for the day? Cos mines been up since 3.35am for the third time in the last 4 days and he's still up now (5am). Thanks, tired momma x

Have you tried feeding then putting baby back to sleep even if it’s a smaller bottle/BF x

@Amie I'm gonna try that I think, I had to start giving him a bottle at 6m again for a few weeks so maybe I'll have to start again 🥲 x

We were having 4:30am starts for weeks, we just got up and went downstairs x

Saaaaame 😫 I gave him so boob at about 3am he had loads so I guess he is hungry/ thirsty… hopefully this phase won’t last long for us all!

My baby was waking at 4am. Sometimes I could feed him back to sleep, if he didn’t fall asleep I put him back in his cot and he seemed happy enough and went back to sleep on his own after about an hour. I went back to bed until he woke again at 6:30. I didn’t want him to think it was ok to be getting up at that time and continue to be as consistent as possible through a regression

My boy used to wake up at 1am and be awake for hours, till about 4-5am, then went back to sleep till 8.30-9am eventually. We just had to wait it out as I didn’t want him to get used to getting up for the day at 1am… But then he just stopped doing that, we didn’t change anything. I’d say it will pass, I know how draining and exhausting it is but it will get better xx

If my little girl wakes up at that time I change her nappy and put her red light on and leave her to it in her cot as long as she’s happy and content. 90% of the time she goes back to sleep in the next 30 mins. If that doesn’t work then I do try a bottle x

My boys been waking up 4-5.30am every morning for about 2 weeks I just get out of bed and go down with him he then goes for a 1hour and 30/40 min nap anywhere between 8-9 so I join him and feel great once I’m up. He will definitely not go to sleep iv tried he is wide awake starts screaming crying to get out the cot

@Shayne he's really not happy and content he's screaming the place down 🤣🤣🤣

@Egzona that's exactly what my little boy does, screams the place down 😩

@Steph oh bless him 🤣 personally I would try teething gel if needed or a little bottle before getting up for the day as a last resort because I would not function well the next day x
