@kerri Yeah I stayed for an hour and the cramps started whilst I was there so I assumed they’d worked. I had a natural miscarriage last year so I had an idea of how much blood I should be losing and I knew it didn’t seem right. I’ll ring them again tomorrow and probably opt for the D&C as I can’t take the pain and waiting for the medication 😔
I had this happen and ended up having to have a D&C the week after, medication failed for me
@Jessica rang EPU this morning and they’ve booked me in for D&C tomorrow. Can I ask what the recovery was like? I have a 2yr old 😅 (I’m having it done under local anaesthetic)
I had medical management last year and it didn't work properly for me as it made me sick. It did seem to kick start it as I started bleeding but it was very light and not really cramps for about 3 days. Then I had about 3 days of intense pain before the sac passed. For me the worst thing was waiting for days in pain not knowing when or of it was going to happen. I just found out I had had a MMC again last week and this time opted for the d&c. I can reassure you that I found it so much better. I did take it easy for a day after (I had a general) but actually I felt fine and haven't had pain or bleeding since. I've just been quite tired but that might be from the whole ordeal!
@Sasha thanks so much for replying! I thought they’d have me back in before booking the D&C but it seems to be really common that the tablets don’t work! Glad it’ll all be over tomorrow 🤞🏻
I had the tablets inserted at 3.30 Thursday and by midnight I had passed a lot of clots and was in a lot of pain, it sounds like it hasn’t worked. Did you lie down for an hour when they were put in? I hope you’re okay and coping with all this I know how tough it is xx
