Best diapers for sensitive skin ? Reasonably priced

My son has ALWAYS had rashes. Not raw wet rashes but pimply butt and now he’s getting a warm red eczema rash on his inner thighs. I can’t justify spending a fortune on diapers but poor guy needs some help. I’ve thought of cloth diapers and I have some but I can barely keep up on laundry as is. Unless there’s a process that could help! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Triple paste! My son got a chemical burn from butt paste so we’ve stuck with triple paste since he was a few weeks old. Works super fast too!

Also, we only use cloth diapers when his rash is bad. Usually within a few hours of being able to breathe it’s completely better! For his thighs try oatmeal bath. Should help with the inflammation 🫶🏻

I’ve tried pampers swaddles, baby dry, Huggies, luvs, Walmart brand, meijer brand..the ones he’s using now are Costco Kirkland diapers and he all of a sudden got this rash on his leg

we use millie moon from target. she doesn’t have super sensitive skin, but they’re pretty clean diapers for the cost

I wish target wasn’t an hour from me. I’ve seen those pura diapers but geesh they are a pretty penny

@Ali Kirkland worked for us until recently, they must’ve changed the formula because my guy broke out horribly around Christmas time. There’s an organization that will send you free cloth diapers so you can try them. It’s called the cloth option! We got ours from them so we could try it out when he was around 3-4 months, and they all still fit him! It might be best to try him in cloth, let his skin heal and start trying to find new diapers with a clean slate.

@savannah omg thank you! I’ll have to try it!

The only thing that has helped my little one is pretty much aquaphor or vasaline every diaper change to act a barrier so that the urine and poop doesn’t cause a rash and then just changing him more frequently! Diapers didn’t really make a huge difference for us, but we use Huggies during the day and have coterie for over night!

@Mira I’m more concerned with the warm to the touch eczema rash on his upper thigh. Not just if it’s just irritation from rubbing or something from diapers.

@Ali circling back to say that it definitely could be a yeast rash, especially if it’s higher up in the thigh, or if he has thicker thighs with more moisture catching areas. The eczema/warm to touch is what made me think of that! You can try lotrimin, it wouldn’t hurt if it wasn’t yeast but it would solve the problem within a day if it was!! Just a thought!

@savannah we’ve tried 2 rounds of lotramin. 😓 it didn’t do much but he also didn’t have the thigh rash. I might have him go around naked and air it out and see if it’s a moisture issue or if it’s rubbing. My oldest had eczema bad as a baby and we found out it was allergy related

@Ali ugh I’m so sorry nothings working!! Definitely let him air out! I’m sure the diaper is probably irritating it more. Do you have any breastmilk stored or know anyone who might for a breastmilk bath? I mentioned it before but the oatmeal baths did wonders for my son’s eczema! Not “oatmeal” soap but actual oatmeal lol!

@savannah like quick oats?? Because I have a bunch of those! Not sure about breast milk. I don’t have any leftovers

@savannah I didn’t even see that you mentioned oatmeal baths 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m sorry
