Baby weight?

I’ve just been for my 20 week scan and the sonographers (had two as one was training) both didn’t raise a concern but I’ve had the slip with info printed out and baby boy looks slightly underweight to me. At 20w his weight was 309g or 11oz and that looks lower than the average by quite a bit based on their little chart thingy. I’m only small myself and I know if they had any concerns they’d have said but has anyone else had this happen? One did mention whether I’d been asked to come for any growth scans by the midwife and I said no as I’ve not had another appt until 25 weeks but that was all she said! Trying not to spiral but you know what it’s like 🙃 Thanks 🩵

11 oz is about spot on at 20 weeks. If they didn’t raise any concerns I wouldn’t worry. Sounds very normal. Would there be another reason for needing extra growth scans? Do you have a high or low bmi or have any medical conditions, GD or HG? Also remember that these scans can be very off, they are definitely not accurate at all and I would take them with a pinch of salt

@Megan thank you so much I already feel a bit better. It’s just on their stupid little sliding scale, the average is marked in the middle and he’s showing as less than that so I panicked! I did have a low BMI when I got pregnant as I’m only 5ft and was about 8stone so maybe that is impacting it. Thank you so much!!

I can’t remember for sure but I swear the nurse said ours was about 300g and that was 47th percentile so I’m sure if they didn’t flag anything it won’t be a problem! The midwife will start measuring you from 25 weeks to make sure growing okay

Ours is 327g and 46th centile and no concerns xx

Yeah honestly I'm 20+2 today with our rainbow boy and had to go into hospital this morning as not felt him since my scan on Monday he's absolutely fine heard his heartbeat but honestly such a bag of nerves and panicked over someone that isn't here yet but for good reasons xxx💙💙

@Kayleigh oh god I’m so glad he was okay!! This weird period between 20 and 24 weeks where they actually establish a pattern of movements is driving me insane! Sometimes he’s breakdancing at 9am and other times I don’t feel him move til 4pm! Like boy please get a routine I’m having kittens over here 😂 really glad again that your baba was all good!! Xx

They would have raised a concern if the weight was an issue. I was told half way through my scan that my baby has Severe early onset growth restriction my baby was measuring at 17 weeks instead of 20+5 weeks 💔
