Baby entertainment

What toys can i buy for my 14m old for self play? I honestly suck at entertaining babies… im more of a toddler person. I have sensory issues so the constant touching is driving me crazy. Worse with no sleep the night before. Ive bought books on games and have a toy subscription but he can be picky. I have about $300 a week i can set aside for toys and games. My lil man is a dare devil. Loves to go super fast and does trust falls. Has no patience for books but loves things that light up when touched. He is not walking yet! Can i pay for someone to play with my baby for me?? 😅😅

Crawl About Ladybug- it sings, lights up and rolls. Also some walkers, push kind. I’ve figured out for my girl, if I just gate up places I don’t want her to go; then just do things that need done, she walks around and plays. I also have Mrs Rachel going on the tv so she can watch that in between toys and random junk.

This might just be me, but I hardly get in the floor and play 😅 I try not to even show him how a toy “works” because when I do, it’s like he thinks “oh mom knows how to play too” and brings it to me over and over. When he’s not teething he will happily play by himself for 10 minutes at a time. We have a small house tho so he can always see me. Being outside and going places helps too! He gets bored if we’re home all day, but he’s happy when it’s broken up. Hope this helps:)

My twins love our play couches that we bought them. I make a new fort/obstacle course for them every day for independent play. We have 3 so there’s lots of building options. A water table is a huge hit with my kiddos. I put a huge playpen around them outside and then let them splash while I observe. Boon grass with stackable flowers/stems toys to stick in the boon grass. My babes love it! Good motor skill practice too

My son is also obsessed with brooms, vacuums, and anything he can push around.

My LO wasn't walking either despite having different push walkers. Bought her the target shopping cart she started instantly and hasn't stopped. She'll push the cart to and from her play kitchen moving the pots and foods all over the living room

@Jessie ive got a walker but live in a pretty small space so he gets bored after a couple laps. And he hasnt figured how to turn around objects. I will look into the ladybug though!

@Ruth Ann we do daily walks already :) 3mi to see his dad on lunch break and then 2mi to the library where he can see other ppl and kids

@Mariah ive got the foam block stuff but he only likes being able to knock them over lol so i just constantly make towers 😂 i didnt think to use my playpen with my water table though! He usually hates being in his playpen so I’ll try that :) and ill get the boon grass!

@Mariah mine likes the vacuum if im using it 😂 get so mad when i turn it off

@Sariah my twins go straight for the road or other unsafe areas when we’re outside so this was my solution to go outside when it’s just me and them 😂

@Sariah if it’s in sight, it’s the first thing he waddles to with the biggest grin! Cracks me up

When I need a break, toys don't work, but Ms Rachel does. She is a miracle.
