Springfield schools
Hey! We re looking into moving to Chelmsford and there are a couple of properties we like in the Springfield area. Anyone who lives there who can advise us on primary schools? My understanding is the schools are oversubscribed, so catchment areas are important. Anyone knows perryfields, tyrells, Springfield primary and the bishops Church of England?

Perryfields is the best one in Springfield, bishops and Tyrell’s are good aswell. I’d personally not send my child to Springfield primary had a few friends kids who went there and my friends were not happy

Hi, schools in Chelmsford are very oversubscribed. Perryfields is a great school, their primary school is split into two, the infants(reception, YR 1 and YR 2) and juniors (YR3-YR 6) their current Ofstead is Outstanding. That’s where my son attended and is shortly leaving for secondary school. He has Always loved it there. Can’t speak for the other schools but I think they are all pretty good. You would need to go to the open days and get a feel for what you feel is the best fit for your child.
