Change of milk

My baby was prescribed Neocate LCP for CMPA, his symptoms were never severe just eczema, constant spitting up and runny poos but he never had any stomach pains or anything always very content. We are abroad for a period of time and I’m running out of the Neocate tins I brought with me from the UK. We are in the USA and they sell nutramigen in the supermarkets, do you think it’s okay to switch from Neocate to Nutramigen? My guess is that it’s fine but just after some reassurance. Also thinking about trying Soya based formula since his allergy test for soya was negative. Any thoughts on what’s best to do? Thanks.

If you can get the puremino one from nutramigen that should be fine but normal nutramigen probably isn't suitable as it's got the protein in it whereas neocate doesn't

Hi, how do you find mixing the neocate formula? We have been prescribed this week, but no matter how much I shake the bottle there always seems to be grainy bits in the bottle have tried slightly warmer and slightly cooler water. Thanks

@Jessica sorry I didn’t experience any issues with this. I actually mixed it wrong for the majority of the time 😬 I was using boiling water and only recently realised it should be cooled boiled water 🫣🫣 but it always dissolved well for me. Sorry not much help

Okay thanks anyway!

Also does it matter how cool, as I read on the tin at least half an hour after water has boiled? But that is still quite warm. Wondering if I’m doing it wrong and if the water needs to be room temp?

Hi, just jumping on a week later🤦‍♀️ my son has these exact symptoms, did you find the new milk helped? We went to the doctor who’s prescribed nutramigen for him literally yesterday, CMPA never crossed my mind so I’m so confused by it all. Every time you see people speak about CMPA online, symptoms are always severe with crying and tummy pains etc but my baby doesn’t seem uncomfortable other than the odd time throughout the day and he can be settled😫xx
