Is sleeping on the right okay?

I'm feeling aches on my left hip for trying to sleep on the left as much as i could the last few months. Would sleeping on my right be any better than sleeping on the back?

Sleeping on either side is better than your back x

my doctor says side sleeping either side is fine, i try to go back and forth

Absolutely. Sleeping on your left is ideal for blood flow but there’s nothing wrong with your right, you can even sleep on your stomach if you’re comfortable. The danger is laying completely flat for long times restricts blood flow. If you want to lay back on your back just stay propped up

My midwife said that either side is fine. I do however try to fall asleep on my left as it is ‘optimal’. But I rotate a lot during the night ☺️

I’m constantly swapping from left to right. I do like being on my left because he seems to kick more 🥹

@Sarah this is so so helpful to know! At the moment my hips are achey and both sleeping on the left and right are putting alot of strain on the hips. I'm guessing I may have to sleep propped up on my back:/

My Dr recommended a wedge pillow so you can feel like you’re sleeping in your back but have a light tilt to keep blood flowing. She also said not laying on back is more important in 3rd trimester when belly is heavier

@Valerie this sounds like a product I'll need. I definitely am a back sleeper so abit of a tilt would be great. Do you have the link of this product?

I’m sleeping on both sides too, either side gets uncomfortable for a while!
