Baby acne or cmpa?

So my baby started getting a couple spots at 2weeks old exactly started on the chin and have progressively got worse ive been using a clenser and cream which have been recommended for baby acne and it initially cleared most of it up but now her cheeks are really angry and red its also spread onto her neck and chest a bit and sometimes i feel like they get more red after a feed. Shes currently suffering with reflux too shes on baby gaviscon after trying carobel which caused constipation and she was having projectile vomiting. Ive seen people say reflux can be an underlying cause of CMPA and now with these spots/rash on her cheeks im wondering if thats what she has

@Aimee aw what a shame! Its such a guessing game isnt it

I think this is normal xxx

if you breastfeed, put some of your milk on it. if it's acne, the milk will clear it up. that's probably the best way to tell the difference.

My little boy is the same. Doctor has said baby eczema and given us an emollient cream as his skins gone really dry

@Riley bottle fed thanks tho

@Laura okay! Her skin isnt dry at all x

My little one is the same. We went to see the gp today who said looks like an allergy rash and he gave us a script for the cmpa milk so it could be that. Speak to your gp x

Mine had this , cotton wool and water wipes helped until I could bath x

@Laura did the emollient cream work for you?

@Orla it’s calmed down a little and his skin isn’t as dry but I found it doesn’t soak in very well and sits on the surface - he only has it on face and neck and not whole body. I’ve been back to the GP today as I suspect he has CMPA and this doctor has said it looks more like baby acne which is being aggravated by his tummy issues, rather than eczema, so the cream is sort of pointless really. A friend had issues with severe baby acne and used coconut oil and said it really helped. Have you seen a doctor, could be a reaction to something if it’s all over body?
