@Hannah ive done the benefits calculator but it shows I would be entitled to more than my current wage at work right now something doesn’t seem right with it 🤯 it seems too good to be true.
You can earn £631 a month and claim UC without them taking anything off you. For every £1 over the 631, UC take off 55p. You probably are better off working part time and claiming at the same time. My friend recently went back to work and claims UC, previously just on UC, she earns around £800 a month so gets about £200 taken off of her claim. But she comes out better off x
So in other words you can claim your full UC entitlement, and earn up to £631 a month before them deducting any UC, not sure if it makes sense 🤣
@Amelia yea it makes sense thanks for explaining 😊
You can use a benefits calculator online to see what entitlements you would get an just change your income based on part time hours.. I was due to go back to work next month but it does feel pointless with almost all of my wages going on childcare so I’m not really sure what to do now either, Im sure that doesn’t help but just saying you’re not alone 🙈😅x
