Very hard to get pregnant

I am 39 years old, perfectly healthy female have been trying to get pregnant with 2nd baby for over 4 months now. M tracking bbt, ovulation, progesterone, pre seed lube, doing alternate sex in fertile window, what more I should do ? I am really loosing my patience and getting frustrated now. Any tips to become faster in 39 years old ?

4 months isn’t long at all?…It can take up to a year for healthy couples to get pregnant. Since you’re over 35 you can look into fertility testing at the 6 month mark.

Yeah, I understand that it can feel challenging no matter how long you've been trying. I'm sorry you are going through that. AND 4 months is not a long time. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people on this app who have been trying for years. I personally have been trying for 21 months, and I am still cognizant that to some people, that doesn't seem long. So you'll have to excuse us if we react poorly. You need to just keep trying. As MJ mentioned, you could reach out to your doctor for some basic tests if you aren't successful in the next couple months. You'll want to check your AMH at your age and can confirm ovulation with some timed blood tests too.

I have pcos I had my 2 at age 40 I was even expecting it

Have Faith it’s coming when aleast one or expect it and praying

I am not denying the fact that it will take longer at my age to conceive. I just wanted to know what more should I try ? I will book a consultation with fertility doctor but the medical system here sucks. Just to get 1st consultation with fertility doctor can take anywhere between 7 months to a year. So what can I do now to boost my chances till the time I get appointment with doctor ?

4 months isn't that long... and in my experience, the old wives' tale that you get pregnant as soon as you stop worrying so much about it is true

Maybe change the lube to conceive plus & insert it instead, I also take pregnancy conception to get conceive, I fell pregnant back in February but it was a chemical pregnancy I had a donation on the day I had a high ovulation test then a peak two days later

It took me about 6 months to get pregnant at 37. I took ubiquinol for egg quality and maca the month I got pregnant as well as pretty much everything you're doing. I know it feels like forever when you want something so badly, but 4 months isn't very long and doesn't mean it won't happen!

@Rolanda did you had to do everyday or alternate days only in fertile window worked for you ?

I know we for sure hit ovulation day, but I can't remember anymore if we hit the day before as well or just 2 days before. We tried to do alternate days most of the time though.

@Rolanda thank you 🙏

@Tiffany thanks 🙏 Pregnancy conception is a pill ?

It's not that it necessarily takes longer to conceive at 39, but everyone is trying to explain 4 months is not especially long at all, even for those under 35. Fertility testing is recommended by the 6 months mark (it is a year for women under 35). Hopefully that shows you it's considered really normal for it to take a number of cycles. It sounds like you're already doing everything you can. My husband and I conceived at 5 months when I was 37 and no tracking/extra effort of any kind. Hopefully it's coming soon for you!

Hello I'm turning 42 on Saturday. I had my last baby at 40. I found out I was pregnant 5 days before my 40th birthday. It took us 10 months to get pregnant. However I found that sex 4 to 5 days before ovulation worked the best. We got pregnant 2 times that way.

@Karen you mean sex every alternate day leading to ovulation or 4 5 days before ovulation?

No, we only had sex 4 and 5 days before ovulation and it worked , twice.

The day of ovulation and the day before are the highest chance. It's possible to get pregnant 4-5 days before but it's as likely.

I’m not sure where you’re located, but before my husband and I even started trying I had my hormones and ovarian reserve checked to make sure we were set up for success. This was done by my OB, not through a fertility specialist. Worth looking into, as one of those things being out of whack could be impacting your success.
