Scared of bathtub

My LO is scared to sit down in her tub. I tried to put her in small outdoor wading pool over the weekend and she would not go in which is weird because she went in last year. Ever since we tried to go in the pool she won’t sit down in her bathtub. She stands in the tub so I am able to clean her and she holds on to my husbands hands while I wash her. She plays with the toys but won’t sit down. She had no problems getting in the tub before this. Any thoughts on how to ease her back in?

I have the same problem😅 no solution here but we just let her stand (she use to hold my hand the whole time or she would freak out but now she’s comfortable with standing by herself) or ill get in the shower with her. I think one day they’ll just come around on their own.

Glad to know she is not the only one 😊Yes definitely easier to clean her 😂 just worried about her fear to sit down and when she gets diaper rash she needs a good soak.

My girls hated sitting in the tub and the pool until a couple months ago. Then one day I said no to playing in the dog water dish (there were tantrums) and that night I think they realized they could play and splash if they sat down in the tub.

My son went through the same thing and it was when I needed him to soak because he had diperrash. For me though it turned out that he doesn't like not being able to see in the water. So no buble baths and milk and oatmeal baths could not be so cloudy he can't see through them

Have you tried to put them in the shower? My daughter loves showers, she likes standing with the water hitting her back
