Has anyone had chlamidya before?

So the hospital gave me medication for bv but they are also testing for chlamidya and I’m so nervous. Does it on only come from multiple partners? Or can you still get it from having one partner? I’m genuinely scared.

My partner told me not long ago that he caught it and so I had to get tested and currently on medication for it now. I'd like to think he's been faithful and I know I have. I've asked him a lot if anything happened but he says no but I dunno. Don't be worried about it if you got it you've got it. Your sexual partners will need to be made aware and if you're in a relationship maybe wise for him to get tested if it comes back as an STI and of course no sex until treated

Yes I have, no need to be scared, chlamydia is just a bacterial infection, it just sounds scary, after antibiotics you’ll be right back to normal. And you can get it from one sexual partner, I have :). Lots of men, go without getting tested from prior sexual partners and pass it along unknowingly unfortunately.

@Zacoriah thank you!! Me and my fiancé have been together for almost 6 years and I’ve been going through things for almost 6 months and I think he’s only now starting to get symptoms, I’m hoping it’s just bv but thank you again!! It eases my mind so much!

Thank you all btw!!

I had a uti and they tested me for chlamiyda as well just incase i didn’t end up having it but I think they just check just incase

@Marissa well my symptoms are somewhat like chlamydia symptoms but yes I do agree it’s just to be safe! I’ve been struggling for over 6 months and I’m just happy I finally got diagnosed with SOMETHING

well it had me thinking after they told me I was going to be tested for it like maybe I did but how could I. But mine kept coming back every time I treated it it would just come back a week later so I just made sure that it was recently treated before I gave birth to make sure it wouldn’t effect my baby
