High TSH level

Did my blood test and result shows my tsh level is high. I am in my 3rd trimester and midwife is saying, I need to consult with my doctor so he can prescribe higher dose but prior to my test I wasn't able to take the meds as I ran out. Now my dr thinks it's better to wait and see and before he prescribe higher dose I should do a blood test again. I am worried as they say thyroid levels needs to be normal as it's really important. Did anyone else had a similar experience and was the Baby ok. I am worried what if something bad happen to my baby. TIA

Don’t worry. i had the same issue however before pregnancy my TSH was under control with medication. usually every 4 weeks you need to do blood test to make sure the dosage you are taking is correct . usually they increase the dosage. make sure not to miss any dosage. my GP used to be so slow and forget my appt to be book i used to remind them many time.
