Antenatal appointment’s

Hey girlies! When you attend your antenatal appointments from work do you have the whole day off or do you have to go back in straight after ??? Sometimes by appointments are mid day and I don’t see the point going in!

Some companies expect you to return after but obv if it’s so late in the day then you might not need to. The NHS are so under pressure so you end up waiting ages for your actual appointment too by the time your called in it’s home time 😂

I used to have a 9am appointment and log on straight after xx

Depends what time the appointment is. I had my first one in the morning and I went to work after. When I had my 12 weeks scan i went to work first, then to hospital and back to work again after. But I believe pregnant women are entitled to 6 hours (paid) during their antenatal appointments. Hope this helps !

I always book mine for after work for this reason, just means I leave as soon as the children leave rather than staying until 5:30 (I work in a school) x

How ever long it takes, I used to take the p***. I went shopping after etc 🤣 they can't and won't say anything. Long waiting times today! 😏😉

I used to go and then come back as I had the worst boss and management

I logged off and straight back to work after, but my centre was like 15 mins away and it was covid times so no waiting!

It depends who you work for my workplace just ask me to come in when my appointment finishes if I want to make the time up I can but not pressured to

I have to work as much as i can around it, always end up late for appointments and i have to go back to work immediately, my company hate pregnant people 😭😂

You're entitled to reasonable time off to travel to the appointments attend the appointment and travel back, I don't think many work places would be accommodating for full days off. Especially towards the end when you have much more regular appointments x

I was a part time worker so would say can’t do the days of my appointments or say I can do the afternoon as typically they were 9/10am
