Baby keeps waking up in the night but refusing feeds ?! 🙄

He is 5 months.... is golden during the day. Night time will come... and its like guessing games 😅 he goes down at 7.30pm...(he will have a final feed) Then at around 11/12 - we will dream feed him 6 onces (180ml) But he refuses it sometimes. Then he will wake us up 3am... crying.. we try to feed him.. he goes mad rejecting it again. I'm so confused. Are they meant to be fed overnight at this age ?? Is he just not hungry? He gets plenty of feeds throughout the day - I'd say minimum 5 bottles of 180ml and some baby rice. But then why is he waking up and crying?? Can't figure it out....

Hiya, my boy wakes up crying in the night and most of the time he doesn't want a feed he just wants a cuddle and some comfort x

@Katie I see xx okay babe

Same my girl is 5 months and wakes at least once a night and either needs her paci or to be rocked to sleep. 🩷 try not feeding and quickly shushing, tapping, or rocking back to sleep

Mine wakes up crying too. We do exactly like you and sometimes offer milk at 3/4am, he often takes it if he’s going through a growth spurt. It’s definitely still normal to be feeding in the night at this age but it is sometimes a guessing game of what’s wrong… dummy, feed, nappy leaked, comfort, wind?!?

With my LO, I exhaust every other form of comfort first and if all of them fail then I know she most likely needs a feed to get back to sleep

Same but mine just wants cuddle and to not be put back down 🫠

@Courtney I do this... but he still wakes up. So I fed him tonight.. and turns out he was hungry. Maybe I need to up his feeds before bedtime x

@Harriet hahaha it's all fun 😁

@Eline good point.. I'll try this xx

@Melissa ahhhhh nooooo ! Velcro baby hahaha x
