This was icky but pop off sis. I’m glad it’s working for you.

It's people like this that make me so happy I left the church. Yall are the most judgemental, harsh bunch of humans I've ever experienced. #notonecares

Doesn’t help my chemical imbalance. Only medication helps.

@Maggie did you pray with faith?

@Julia hi sorry that you had bad experience but I am not here to judge.

I think that maybe many people would agree with you, there many other people that won't, I believe in God and Christ, but I believe that no one should only trust in your faith, it can work miracles, but let's remember that faith is an action principle, it is like you know a bulb can make or get light you definitely need energy to able to turn a light bulb on, so I believe that you have to go with a psychologist or psychiatrist to help to get through it, and we can not assure that it will actually going to be cured, this is just your own experience, but let's be careful with what we suggest like this.

@Perla You don't have to go to a psychologist or psychiatrist. You just need to have faith in GOD and seek him and ask him to help you heal from whatever caused you the depression and he will give revelation. If you don't think that Jesus Christ alone can't help you be healed from that. Than you have little faith and you need to reconnect and reconcile with him. I too had little faith and GOD help me restore that depression and a lot of issues I had in my life. If they're weren't psychologist/ psychiatrist 500 years ago we certainly don't need them now. Coming from someone with who lived with severe PPD/ and seasonal depression. Jesus blood is sufficient for all healing.

There is a great interview on god and religion with Stephen fry. Look it up on YouTube. If your god is so amazing and can heal depression (and any other illness, disease, or problem), why create it in the first place? To test you? Oh, great.. why would he do that? Seems pretty selfish to me

@Emmuna Im not religious, but I hate how they are treating you in these comments. You are just trying to be helpful, save souls in your belief, and you found something that helped you and you want to help others. I dont think you came off at all judgemental or any more pushy than anyone suggesting any other fix for an issue. Dont let angry people get you down ma, everyone reacts to things from thier own lense which is stained with filters from thier own personal issues, trauma, and experience. Just remember that when ever people are mean, nasty, and cruel towards you. You can put out a message in positivity and people will recieve it how they do, no reflection of you. Ps ( not all athiests are assholes) 😍 love ya

@Emmuna yes. This is no different than telling someone with cancer to just pray it away. Medication and healthcare exist for a reason. God brought medication and doctors into existence for a reason.

@Honor +1

God can heal any way he chooses to. He is God, and is not limited by what us humans think. ❤️ I am thankful for your faith and sharing it sister! God healed my family through the right medications from doctors, which helped my family discern the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly. We don't give any open doors to the enemy by discounting prayer NOR medication - God can and will use anyone to achieve His will :)

I do not see any judgment coming from you, sister. All you’re saying is that there’s another way to deal with depression and people can take it or leave it as they please. I usually tell people that I had severe postpartum depression and yes, I was healed through prayer and reading the word. It was difficult at first but it became easier until the intrusive thoughts and torments stopped. I tell them this because I want to let them know what worked for me and they can take it or leave it but I can’t go around NOT telling people my story just because my cure was a little unconventional, it might help someone in the end. It would be wrong of me to keep it to myself.

Please do not come on here trying to preach about god and Jesus. This is a safe place for people that need to vent and need help. People with mental illnesses have a chemical imbalance that “prayer” as you say is not going to work. I found this post super disrespectful and gross, there is no cure for depression, I will be reporting this post or you can take it down. But this is not okay. I do not believe in that cult and I never will. Science and doctors is what works and it has been for a long time. This sounded so delusional and I don’t want to hear you ask me if I “asked god for help”

@Honor she’s trying to say that there’s a cure for depression and anxiety and mental illnesses when news flash there is not. This was disrespectful to people that have these illnesses and hate to break it to you but if you just sat down and “prayed” it away you did NOT have depression. That’s just the truth.

@Callie I have anxiety and depression both diagnosed and ive been medicated for both. I dont need you to news flash me about anything or judgesplain what she said to me. Religion helps for some people, and it doesnt for others. The real issue is people like to get all hot n bothered about I dont like to hear this or that and now im offended instead of considering where someone is comming from or thier intentions. She was trying to help wether you agree with her execution or not. She meant well, and if you could read between the lines youd realize shes saying this because she has come to the realization that religion was a good cure for her depression. She likely feels like she had a revalation. Get out of your sensitivity bubble, get over your self, and try reacting with a little grace instead of knee jerk anger and offendedness. Also you should think a little about your being triggered by my kind message to another person when they were being jumped on in these comments.

I Don't believe in God but would never judge anyone who dose believe
