Expressed milk on the go

I am wanting to take some expressed milk out with me today.. I am struggling to get my head around safe storage and transport of my milk. If it’s currentley in the fridge now, what would I need to do? I’ll be out and about it so it needs to be able to go in my changing bag. I don’t know for sure (if even at all) what time I would need to use it. Does it need to be stored in a freezer bag with the ice blocks? With the bottle, once it’s been sterilised, is that good to be made up and just go in my bag until I need to use it? Thanks in advance for any tips ❤️

If not in freezer bag with ice u would have no more then 2 hrs to use it with ice maybe 3-5 hrs

If I’m going out for the day and I won’t be breast feeding I take a cool bag with ice blocks and put my milk in that! Otherwise, a bottle out of the fridge lasts up to 4 hours I think. But once baby has started drinking from it you have 2 hrs before it needs to be chucked xx

My baby likes warm milk, so we would warm it up in bottle warmer so it’s nice and hot and then keep it in a thermos so that by the time we use it it’s at least room temperature. Or I will just put freshly pumped milk in a thermos to keep it warm. I then just bring a clean bottle and transfer the milk from the thermos to the bottle. I wouldn’t over complicate it, as long as everything is clean and the baby will get the bottle within ~4 hours or so that should work. If you’re wanting to be out the whole day and the baby will need multiple bottles, would just pack a little cooler with the other milk in it and depending if your baby wants cold or warm milk, they make travel bottle warmers.

It’s good for 1-2 hours after being taken out of the refrigerator. If you’re gonna be out for longer, maybe purchase a cold thermos so it can stay cold longer, but once it’s coming back to room temp, no more than two hours. You just need to sterilized the bottles once after unpacking it. If you wanna do more, that’s up to you
