How do you get comfortable breastfeeding side lying at night ?

Little one is currently waking every hour and screaming unless fed so I feed in bed and cosleep but finding it hard to get comfortable. It's most comfortable with my arm under his head but then I can't remove my arm without waking him up! How do you position yourself/baby. Also having to rearrange the bed every wake up to swap boobs. Is there a better way?!

Hey, I do a mix of my arm under baby or my arm out flat, like over baby's head. So he's totally on the mattress, but on his side facing me. Once he's done, if I'm not putting him back I can also have that hand around him to make sure I wake up if he moves (he's not a big mover). I terms of swapping boobs, I always end up just pulling him over me, unless it's odd nights my partner isn't home, then I might try and keep baby in the middle and I kinda crawl over him 🙃🙈

I've never been able to get comfortable in side lying position. Instead I feed in laid back position, and as he gets more tired his body sort of slips off me (probably not describing this very well 😂) then when he's done and unlatched I just have to sort of slightly roll him onto his back next to me (if he doesn't roll himself which he often does).

Babys head on my arm and cuddle curl around him and then we co sleep
