Looking for advice
My current work told me that they will only be giving me hours 2 days a week when I return. I cannot live off that, I’ve been applying to other jobs but haven’t heard anything back. My other option is to open a home daycare so I can stay home with my little one and still make money. I’m just nervous to start something and it not take- no one taking me up on care. I’m also wanting another baby we’re not trying but if it happens it happens with a daycare I wouldn’t get any maternity leave. My kids count in a home daycare so I’m also stumped is it worth it if I can only watch 2-3 other kids. I’m so lost

If you went on maternity they have to hold your spot for atleast 6-8 weeks

Depending on the state you can actually own a business and take maternity leave California actually helps to give funds for childcare run businesses so with that extra income you don't have to close your childcare business only hire someone new train them and keep them if their amazing or let them go! I work for a school district here in Cali and a another aide of mine says she helps her son in his childcare empire he owns over 7 daycare facilities and breaks about 150,000 a year and she'll sub for extra money if he's running low on help for any location
