CMPA POO 💩

Hi, I need some advice please. Is it normal for my 6 month old to have yellow/mustard nappies with black/extremely dark green streaks/lumps? I know the mustard is fine, but the black/green makes me wonder if it’s normal and if he needs any advice etc. I do have an image if I need to share it. Baby is dairy & soy free & this was happening before weaning.

What milk or BF?

Can you post the pick and a breakdown of what you're weaning with etc?

My boys poo was like that and is CMPA and he had blood in it too x

The greens likely from the added iron in pepti 2 I'd definitely just say it's cmpa poos and maybe he needs an amino based formula instead

Have you got your own specialist? If so call them and say your still not happy with his poos, the next milk up is neocate but it’s absolutely horrible tasting, I mix petit 2 and neocate together and it’s right for my boy and poo is back normal x

Thanks both! He was changed to an amino based formula and he wouldn’t tolerate it at all, he got to the point where he’d refuse it and was only taking about an oz per feed through sheer hunger so was put back on pepti 2. The doctors didn’t even suggest neocate, is that amino based? If so maybe that’s why they didn’t suggest it x

Which one-alfamino?

@Gem yes, he was trialled on alfamino.
