@Rhianna can they have nuts now? I'm scared to give him anything chokeable lol
Mines been eating nuts for a few months now I think. As long as he can chew and has enough teeth he should be fine. The first few times I watched & I still pay close attention/listen, but honestly I knew my kid could chew and swallow, spit stuff out and drink water to help wash food down as needed. We went through a period of time where he would shove a lot of food in his cheek which we worked through by giving him only one nut or cracker at a time and making sure he chewed and swallowed before he got another. He learned very quickly bc he hated only getting to have one at a time/he likes to hold extras in his hands. If you are worried and don’t feel comfortable, you can also use nut butter. There are a lot of options nowadays. You could do something like ants on a log which is celery that you fill with peanut butter and then stick raisins on top
I get a bunch of the freeze dried snacks and add it to a box of Cheerios in a container. He loves it.
