Has anyone went through a random apartment inspection

Lead, Mold, n to put smoke alarms in every room n to put new locks on the building doors if they are broken ... They have been doing this to my mother's building as well bringing in new stoves n refrigerators cause of new property management ... They're doing this so it seems they're making a difference to the people n property but the people living in these buildings are just going to mess it all up again anyway like they have no home training

Oh okay cause I've been cleaning non stop

My building does them yearly, plus minor ones if you request maintenance (ie recaulking the bathroom, leaky faucets, etc.)

What do you mean by random though? How much notice are you given in advance?? I feel like these inspections need to be given advance notice and also an explanation of what the purpose is…. Remember…. Once you sign a lease that is your home.

Depending on where you live, they legally only have to give 24 hours notice of entry. for the annual inspections in my building we get 3 days notice but for things like maintenance requests, they could show up same day or in 3 months depending.

@Wendy a couple days ago I'm trying to clean as much I can but it's hard to do so when I'm pregnant and a high risk right now
