Breast feeding frequency

Those who ebf, how often are you feeling your little ones? The general guidance for a baby of 9m is 3 bottles a day and minimum 21oz but there's no real guidance for breast feeding. I currently feed about 4 times a day at wake, 11:30, 3:30 and bed plus 3 meals but is a 4 hour gap between feeds too long?

We do roughly that too! I think if he wanted more he’d ask for it (he makes a certain noise when he wants it) x

I do more but mostly because weaning isn't going too well so she needs the nutrition.

I am more or less the same! My boy has a bottle of formula at bedtime. So id say I’m more on 3 feeds, but sometimes 4/5! Its tricky to gauge with BF isn’t it xx

Yeah I'm struggling with this a bit. Mine doesn't eat masses of solids and bf frequency has dropped a lot, so I worry he's not getting enough. But he's a proper chunky monkey, looks healthy, and seems happy so I'm just going with his lead

I feed the exact same pattern as you plus 3 meals and a snack

My daughter has 3 meals a day but is hit and miss with how much she eats. I feed her around 3-4 times a day plus couple times at night x

I am doing 3 feeds a day currently - before morning nap c. 9am before afternoon nap c. 1pm and bedtime feed c. 6.45. This is on top of 3 meals a day, my little girl is eating quite a lot now at each meal.

I’m offering more but my son is very distracted and squirmy while He nurses. He wants to put his feet down and then come back to nurse and repeats again. He eats the most when he first wakes and before bed. Similar to your schedule, I feed him when he wakes, after his first nap, 2:30, 4:30/5, and bed (5x).

I breastfeed 4 times a day and usually 2-3 times overnight. I worry he’s not taking enough milk though as he’s just not interested anymore now he loves food! He’s on 3 meals a day.

I breastfeed 3 times a day, but I don't know obviously the quantities. The health visitor said that they should take overall 500ml of milk at this age, but when I pump I can only get 60ml so probably my baby takes something like 180ml? Fortunately she eats lots of solids (4 times a day) and cow's milk in her cereals plus cheese and yogurts
