Crying in the Car seat

Does anyone else’s baby cry every time they are out in the car seat? I always make sure she has a clean diaper and try to plan trips after we have fed her but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any tips?

Yesssss, I’ve noticed the last few weeks my baby cries so hard every time we are driving. It’s like he just hates the concept of being strapped in. I remember my first one did the same thing. He would cry the whole way and then pass out the last 5 minutes 🤦‍♀️ I guess he eventually grew out of it. Unfortunately I don’t have any tips, but know you aren’t alone!

Have you tried adjusting the straps, my two month i noticed needed them longer and moving head support up x

When she’s due for a nap I try to push her around in her car seat/stroller to have her fall asleep before we get in the car - I know that doesn’t always time out well if you have to go somewhere at a certain time. And if my husband is driving I sit in the back with her and try to distract her when she starts to get upset but doesn’t always work. You are not alone!

I try to breastfeed first a s change my babies diaper ! And cover the front with muslin blanket. But no blanket now its to hoy

Mine does! & we live 40+ min from all fam/friends. I try to plan drives when it’s her nap time so she usually just falls asleep a few min into the ride. But if she wakes up in her car seat, it’s a whole lot of screaming from her. So stressful

Same! My 10 week old use to fall asleep in the car no problem but recently cries every time he’s in the car seat. It stresses me out and I’ll rather not go anywhere. You are not alone hopefully soon it gets better for us 🙏

Ours was crying every time and this week we noticed the slots on the back the straps come through seemed low so we moved the straps up to the next slot and it fits better and she stopped crying completely so it must be more comfortable 🤷‍♀️

@Jessica which car seat do you have?

@Claire keyfit 30. But all infant carseats should have multiple strap height options
