C section tomorrow…

I have my c section booked in for tomorrow due to baby being breech and they were unable to flip her! I am so nervous and have so much anxiety. Especially because i hate the idea of not being able to feel my legs! Has anyone got any advice😫or words of encouragement x

Hey I had a C-section today after failed induction and honestly it was the best experience. Induction was so long, deflating and painful. C-section - it was quick(about 45min), everyone was lovely and made me feel at ease. Yes, it is a bit of a strange sensation yo not feel your legs and even though you don't feel pain, you still feel touch and pressure which was a strange feeling. Also you get to meet your baby so quickly and then it just doesn't matter anymore what is happening around you. Good luck!

I'm in a similar situation, just waiting for my date, how far along are you?

@Emma i am 39+3

I had a c section last year (emergency) & I am due to have another in 4 weeks elective. My 1st was of course rushed and slight panic but it was the best experience. They made me feel comfortable and calm & talked me through every single step. I was in and out within an hour and in the labour ward with a piece of toast and my baby 🥰 everyone who I know who’s had elective has said it’s even better due to having the time to process and there being no rush. You will be that wrapped up in the baby bubble before you even think about your legs you will be already starting to get the feeling back! Recovery wasn’t as scary as I thought either, best of luck 🥰🤍 xx

How long did they try and flip baby and was it painful? I’m booked in for ECV tomorrow and scared 😖

@Hannah they only checked my scan and saw she was footling breach and decided they were not gonna even try!

@Jurate I was the same as you! Had my section on the 3rd 😌 It's definitely a weird experience but it was also kind of nice, sounds strange but it was almost relaxing to have such dead legs, especially after such a long induction 😂 it was a wonderful experience to have my little girl all up in my face while the doctors were doing their thing 😌 and the feeling started to come back to my legs only a couple hours after! I'm sure you'll have a lovely experience and exciting you get to meet your little one so soon! Good luck 💜
