Shakes / feeling sick

Hi girls I know it’s late but I’m really struggling . I’ve got a fear of sick and I’m now 12 weeks and 6 days pregnant my nausea seemed to have eased off however I was trying to get to sleep and then I felt really sick and started getting shakes and cold . I went to the loo for a wee got back into bed little sips of water and I still feel shakey and scared . What can I do to help me calm this down so I can get some sleep ? And did anyone else get this with pregnancy or is it my emetophobia making me panic and that’s the cause ?

I felt hungover my entire first trimester and a couple of weeks into the 2nd. It's very possible a lot of your symptoms sound like that's what it is, but the shakes may be from panic, unless you get those when you're hungover

There are anti nausea meds that dont bother baby but most are prescription

Anti sickness band and deep breaths to calm anxiety. Reasure yourself that its all ok, you are safe and this too shall pass. I also always pray to St Mary when i have this type of episode and she helped me every time. Im sorry you are going through this 🤗

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had this at the early stages , it was awful , they say glass of milk helps, it could be your hormones or it could be that your coming down with something. Always best to talk to your doc or midwife and get checked out, even though it ain’t nothing best to be safe then sorry. I went hosp to get checked they did blood pressure an blood tests etc all clear told me hormones an could of been dehydrated as i was badly sick i had HG, or sugar levels. hope u feel better xxx

Try rich tea biscuits white toast with butter and blue poweraid xx being sick is scary but you've got this also go back to the doctors xxxxxx

@Monica thankyou Yh I was on some throughout my whole first trimester but I slowly weaned myself off them because I don’t want to depend on them and also I found that if I diddnt get to sleep straightaway after taking them it used to make me feel more sick and be up all night x

@Kimberly Pawlik yes it’s awfull I diddnt drink before I was pregnant becasue or my fear of sick but from what I can remember when I drank a long time ago it is like a never ending hangover and I’m worried that I will feel like this the whole way through , I think your probably right with the panic I think I got scared and it made me shake x

@Lili thankyou my anxiety has always been a battle for me before I was pregnant and now that I am the feeling of not having control of my body and not knowing what’s going to happen next with being sick or feeling sick has been the biggest struggle xx

@Charlene thankyou Yh I think it was anxiety I was panicking because of the fear I eventually did get to sleep but woke up early so I’m not feeling the best today because of the crap sleep 😴 but it means I should have a better sleep tonight 😂 so far this jouney has been a very big challenge but hopefully 🤞🏻 it starts to get better soon xxxx

@Hann thanks Lou , I think it was my anxiety last night I was panicking that I would be sick and that made me feel worse I was also hungry but when u feel sick eating is the last thing u want 😂 I had a Apple tried to calm myself down and got to sleep eventually 😂xxxx

@Darcey yes, i understand peefectly, i had exactly the same while pregnant. I made myself a calendar where i was crossing the days up until the c section, that calendar was what helped the most.

Good luck to u hun 🤞 🤗 xxxx

@Darcey look at it this way, being sick in the first trimester is a good thing. It means your body is producing a lot of hormones to make sure it gets the baby making part right 😀 Something else that you can do (and I got this idea from my therapist), eat a sour candy when you feel a panic attack coming. Our digestive track shuts down when we go into a panic episode. Quickest way to avert a panic attack is to get saliva going in your mouth, and for me, a sour candy works best doing that. I bought a massive bag of warheads before I was induced, and that helped me a lot.

@Kimberly Pawlik thankyou babe I will definitely try the sour sweets for sure ! Thankyou for your advice it helps Alot xxx
