You’re stronger than you know mama you got this !!

I was induced in my first pregnancy. Here's my tips. 1. Ask them for different induction processes there are. If they do the balloon method, go with that as they don't put you on the drip with that one. If they don't offer it and only do gel or pessary, it's fine. Just tell them to hold off from putting you on the drip. They technically don't need to as as soon as they break your waters. You should start getting contractions 2. Keep reminding yourself your body knows what to do and every pain brings you closer to your baby 3. Have everything that helps you release oxytocin and keeps you relaxed. For me, it's spa music, lavender oil, Clary sage oil, soft touch massages from birth partner, water to sit in if possible, moving around, turned down lights. 4. As soon as you move to "this is too painful/scary" use some affirmations to bring you back to relaxation mode as the "pain/fear" thought pushes you in to a state of anxiety which reduces the oxytocin Most importantly, remember you are strong!

Nurses are wonderful people. I hope you get a truly outstanding one who will hold your hand throughout the whole process 💗

I have just been through the induction process. Baby came early hours of this morning. And I was where you are the day before i went in, no idea what to expect and scared. I can honestly say that although it took time I had built it up in my head so much that I freaked myself out. Only thing I can say is if u don't want something say. For me I felt it was forcing it and I didn't like that but like u it was medically necessary. They took it slow with me and gave me to time to accept things. It was the gel that really got things going for me but the pessary is the better start as it can be removed. I ended up on the drip that is what got me over the finish line (baby didn't want to engage). Trust yourself and your body. It may be slow it may be fast but your body will do what it needs to do. You got this!!! You are a superwoman as you have grown a human being, and the moment you see your beautiful baby, none of it will matter to you at all.
