It does get better! I had the same pain but on my right side and one day I couldn’t even get to the bathroom. But it does get better. Keep topped up on medication and use a hot waterbottle
I am 2 weeks PP and the sharp pain on one side only started recently with the same reason given. I’m no longer taking any pain meds either and it only happens some days. I have been much more mobile and was feeling better around 1 week!
I would suggest staying on top of your pain medication, basically don’t wait for the pain to come, just keep taking them at the correct regular intervals, until you feel you don’t need them. The midwife suggested I do this and I had minimal pain from my c-section. Hope you get better quickly x
For me personally the pain got worse before it got better because the uterus is trying to contract. I did a lot of heat patch, walking slowly, and ibuprofen extra strength
Sharp stabbing pains are an indication of nerves being pulled or pinched. This is normal and everyone is correct here saying just to take the pain medication to help ease it and it does get better over time. However, I will caution it as normal to experience this pain for months or years after the c-section... I'm 9 months postpartum and I still get the sharp stabbing pains from time to time, usually doesn't last more than 10 to 30 seconds depending.
Thank you all, I've been keeping more on top with my pain relief today and have found this helps. I'm trying to find the balance between moving and resting still too!
2 week mark for me keep taking pain relief spread out so your continuously topped up and small walks around the house it really doesn’t last forever 😊
I found my pain got worse before it got better, for me it peaked at around 2 weeks and then gradually got better from there. I'm now almost 8 weeks post op and no pain at all x
